We are a husband and wife team of photographers, working cooperatively, who are inspired by the power and beauty of wild places and the amazing variety and complexity of life. Every artist has a personal point of view. Ours includes a reverence for the natural world, a love of color and texture, and a commitment to technical excellence. We celebrate wilderness and vast space in our panoramic images, as well as details of structure in our intimate portraits of flowers, plants, rocks and shells. In the fall of 2011 we were Artists in Residence at the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona where we explored the amazing variety of this unique landscape.  We have also begun a series of architectural images, bringing our same sensibility to human constructions.

Our new series of Still Life photographs, inspired by Dutch Renaissance painters and the Spanish painter Luis Melendez, showcase the beauty and importance of food that is part of our agricultural heritage. For hundreds of years artists have used the still life image to tell a story, to appreciate abundance, and to communicate love of home. We want to tell these stories in a way that is both current and evokes this long artistic tradition.

We work with both digital and film capture. All our photographs are taken in natural light and our prints are printed with pigmented, archival inks on archival quality papers. Our photographs have been exhibited in the Hubbard Museum of the American West in New Mexico and in Europe as part of the Austrian and Special Themes Super Circuit.  Our work has been exhibited in many juried exhibitions and in numerous galleries. Our images are also part of various corporate collections including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
